Please let me know if it is okay for you to send you the events as pull request directly here in Git as well. I hope I can lower efforts for creating the events this way.

Great, thanks! Having it as a pull request is fine for me, but not a must for you :)

All I would change is:

leave out the front-page tag if the event is not existent in English (this is a debatable policy, but let's stick to it as long as we don't have a better solution and decision)
the country tag should look like <tag content="Deutschland">de</tag>.

Because the meeting is today, I will fix it on my own now.
