Now rebased onto latest build system tweaks, but scss still super broken and not compiling.
Well, it seems that doing the scss work may take a very long time.
So this pr will rest here till that is all resolved.

After discussing with @tobiasd we decided that the drawbacks of fsfe-preview are such that we should not add it here.
This may be revisited later after feedback.
