<p>Matthias Kirschner is voorzitter van FSFE. <a
|
|
href="https://blogs.fsfe.org/mk/memories-about-some-old-free-software-floppies-and-cds/">In
|
|
1999 begon hij GNU/Linux te gebruiken</a> en realiseerde hij zich dat software alle
|
|
aspecten van onze levens diep raakt. Matthias is ervan overtuigd dat technologie de samenleving
|
|
zou moeten versterken en niet zou moeten beperken. Hij werd tijdens zijn studie Politieke en
|
|
Beleidswetenschappen in 2004 lid van FSFE.</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>Hij helpt andere organisaties, bedrijven en overheden te begrijpen hoe ze kunnen profiteren van
|
|
Vrije Software -- die iedereen de rechten geeft om software te gebruiken, te begrijpen, aan te passen
|
|
en te delen -- en hoe deze rechten helpen bij het steunen van vrijheid van meningsuiting, persvrijheid of
|
|
privacy.</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>Matthias houdt ervan om te spelen met zijn kinderen. In zijn vrije tijd helpt hij bij <a href="http://www.outdoorschule-sued.de">seminars over eerste hulp in de wildernis</a>, leest hij graag strips zoals XKCD en Transmetropolitan; en Die Ärzte.</p>
