[This page is not up-to-date.]

APRIL has set up a working
group to have Free Software classified as an intangible world
cultural heritage by UNESCO
(from an idea by Pierre Jarillon, President of ABUL).

Why ? This classification of Free Software as an intangible
world cultural heritage gives an important weight to Free Software
(a world-wide echo, important publicity, recognition and promotion
of its philosophy, legal protection by the UNESCO, Anti-FUD
arguments, etc). And it is not expensive to try. Freedom
has everything to win here.
