<h3>Acerca da FSF Europa</h3>
|
|
|
|
<p>

|
A Free Software Foundation Europe (FSF Europe) é uma ONG sem fins
|
|
lucrativos, actualmente reconhecida como caridade na Alemanha,
|
|
dedicada a todos os aspectos do Software Livre na Europa. Faz parte
|
|
de uma rede mundial de Fundações para o Software Livre com a FSF
|
|
USA (FSF USA), fundada em 1985 por Richard M. Stallman,
|
|
sendo actualmente a sua mais proeminente organização-irmã.
|
|
Informação sobre as actividades da FSF Europe pode ser encontrada
|
|

|
|
</p>
|
|
<p>
|
|
Desde a sua fundação em inícios de 2001, a FSF Europe já desenvolveu a sua
|
|
precença em 7 países Europeus [<a href="#1">1</a>] através de organizações
|
|
associadas [<a href="#2">2</a>], capítulos locais e/ou membros destes
|
|
países. Presenças noutros países estão actualmente em desenvolvimento.
|
|
</p>
|
|
<p>
|
|
A FSF Europe teve um papel chave na decisão de começar a mudar para
|
|
Software Livre com os servidores do parlamento Alemão por modo a
|
|
reduzir a dependência em monopólios estrangeiros e também esteve
|
|
envolvida nos comentários do governo Francês contra a adopção de
|
|
patentes de software.
|
|

<p>
|
|
Entre outras coisas, participa no 5º Programa Quadro da Comissão
|
|
Europeia como parceiro do ``Projecto AGNULA'' (IST-2001-34879).
|
|
