  7. <h1>On Valentine's Day, show your love for Free Software!</h1>
  8. <p newsteaser="yes">
  9. This year on Valentine's Day, FSFE calls on Free Software users
  10. everywhere to show their love for Free Software. Behind every Free
  11. Software initiative and organisation there are real, hard-working
  12. people.
  13. </p>
  14. <p>
  15. Free Software is everywhere. Its presence on desktop computers,
  16. servers, routers, mobile phones, television sets and in other
  17. electronics means that most of us use Free Software every day.
  18. </p>
  19. <p>
  20. This is why for Valentine's Day, FSFE invites everyone to show
  21. their appreciation of the people who produce, distribute and
  22. promote Free Software.
  23. </p>
  24. <p>
  25. “This year why not take the opportunity to show you care about the
  26. people who show you their love all year round?”, suggests Karsten
  27. Gerloff, FSFE's President. “Free Software is about making
  28. technology fit people's needs. It's people who are at the centre
  29. of it all, not computers.”
  30. </p>
  31. <p>
  32. On <a href="http://www.fsfe.org/campaigns/valentine/2010/">its
  33. campaign page</a>, FSFE suggests what users can do to show that
  34. they appreciate Free Software. Simply sending a developer a mail to
  35. say “Thank you”, buying them a book or just giving them a hug – with
  36. their permission, naturally. Donating to a Free Software
  37. organisation is also among the options.
  38. </p>
  39. <p>
  40. Everyone is invited to post pictures online of them showing their
  41. love for Free Software. On <a
  42. href="http://identi.ca/">Identi.ca</a> and Twitter, FSFE is using
  43. the hash tag <strong>#ilovefs</strong> to collect pictures and build
  44. a collage.
  45. </p>
  46. <p>
  47. You can see what people have posted so far: <a
