<p>With Upcycling Android, the Free Software Foundation Europe shows how phones can benefit from an extended lifespan by flashing them with a Free Software operating systems. We will bring sample phones where Free Software operating systems can be tried out and also be flashed by the participants themselves. In the meantime there is room for questions and answers about flashing phones and also an introduction into a world full of Free Software by the means of F-Droid and microG.</p>

<p>The workshop takes place on 20.01.2023 from 16:00 - 20:00 hours in the Clubraum of the Alte Feuerwache Köln, Melchiorstraße 3, 50670 Cologne. If you want to flash a phone yourself, please bring your own laptop. Furthermore, if you want to flash your own phone, make a backup of the data that is valuable to you beforehand.
