I was wondering if it would not make more sense if you search for something in our website search to first display results from "Pages" - which should be longer articles and activity pages, and then afterwards the results from "news".

First of all: do you agree with that?
Second question: is it possible to change that without too much efforts?

When I created the search feature, I was assuming the website visitors would want to search for recent, news articles and then for longer documents. Maybe I'm wrong. Now that the search functionality has been around for a while, maybe we can analyze this in our logs to know wehther the search functionality is more used to find pages or news? If yes then we have an objective, quantitative metric. Of course it would have some bias as currently news are put before pages.

Yes it's easy to change. These lines just need to be inversed.

Thanks @vincent . Makes sense to have a look at the search querys. Would you have time to do that?
