 <p>La ciudad sueca de Gotemburgo acogió la <a 
 href="/news/2023/news-20230428-01.html">edición de 2023 del Taller de 
 Legal y Licenciamiento o Free Software Legal &amp; Licensing Workshop 
 (LLW)</a>, la conferencia anual para la comunidad de la Red Legal. Pocos 
 días después, tuvo lugar la FOSS-North, la conferencia en Gotemburgo que 
 reúne a las comunidades nórdicas de Software Libre. La FSFE organizó un 
 espacio sobre los aspectos legales y políticos del Software Libre y 
 además participó en el día de la comunidad que precedió a la 
 conferencia.

 <p>Durante la FOSS-North, algo más de 180 participantes tuvieron la 
 oportunidad de aprender y debatir sobre el Software Libre en más de 20 
 sesiones. Lina Ceballos, Gestora de Proyectos de Política de la FSFE, 
 impartió una presentación destacada sobre la Ley de Interoperabilidad 
 Europea y su posible impacto en la comunidad del Software Libre.

 propietarios de autenticación de dos factores (2FA) . Algunos 
 estudiantes se quejaron de que este método comprometería la privacidad y 
 podría no funcionar en sus dispositivos, así que propusieron otro método 
 de autenticación alternativo. Finalmente, la universidad llegó a dar un 
 paso atrás en su decisión.

 <p>I funzionari di Vilnius Tech hanno cercato di imporre l'utilizzo di 
 metodi di autenticazione a due fattori (2FA, two factor authentication) 
 proprietari. Alcuni studenti erano preoccupati dal fatto che questi 
 metodi compromettessero la privacy e che non potevano funzionare sui 
 loro dispositivi, e quindi hanno proposto un metodo di autenticazione 
 alternativo. Alla fine l'università ha cambiato la propria decisione.

 <p>In dit nummer kunt u lezen over het EU-project NGI Zero, LLW, de 
 FOSS-North conferentie en de strijd van Litouwse studenten om

 <h3 id="FOSS-North-and-LLW-in-Gothenburg">FOSS-North en LLW in Gothenburg</h3>
 <p>De Zweedse stad Gothenburg ontving de gasten van <a 
 href="/news/2023/news-20230428-01.html">Vrije Juridische &amp; 
 Licentiewerkgroep (LLW)</a>, editie 2023. Dit is de jaarlijkse 
 conferentie voor de juridische netwerkgemeenschap. Een paar dagen later 
 vond FOSS-North plaats, de conferentie in Gothenburg die de 
 Scandinavische Vrije Softwaregemeenschappen samenbrengt. De FSFE 
 organiseerde een track over politieke en juridische aspecten van Vrije 
 Software en nam ook deel aan de gemeenschapsdag die aan de conferentie 
 voorafging.
 </p>
 <p>
 Tijdens FOSS-North maakten meer dan 180 deelnemers van de gelegenheid 
 gebruik om te leren en te discussiëren over Vrije Software in meer dan 
 20 sessies. FSFE's beleidsprojectmanager Lina Ceballos hield een 
 toespraak over de Verordening Interoperabel Europa en de mogelijke 
 impact ervan op de Vrije Softwaregemeenschap.

 <h3 id="The-FSFE-is-helping-to-build-an-Internet-of-Humans">De FSFE helpt een “Internet van mensen” te bouwen</h3> 
 <p>De Free Software Foundation Europe is partner van het Next Generation 
 Internet Zero-consortium, dat een meer veerkrachtig, betrouwbaar en open 
 internet, dat eindgebruikers in staat stelt de technologie te 
 controleren, als doel heeft. Het FSFE-team ondersteunt NGI0-gesteunde 
 projecten met juridische en licentiekwesties. Bovendien helpt de FSFE 
 hen om REUSE-conform te worden.

 <h3 id="Lithuania-Students-stop-university-from-using-only-proprietary-authentication">Litouwen: 
 studenten stoppen universiteit bij het gebruik van slechts propriëtaire authenticatie.</h3> 
 <p>Technologie-ambtenaren in Vilnius probeerden het gebruik van 
 propriëtaire twee factor-authenticatie (2FA) methoden af te dwingen. 
 Sommige studenten waren bezorgd dat de methoden de privacy in gevaar 
 zouden brengen en niet konden worden uitgevoerd op hun apparaten, dus 
 stelden ze een alternatieve authenticatiemethode voor. Uiteindelijk kwam 
 de universiteit op haar besluit terug.

 <h3 id="SFP20-All-about-Device-Neutrality-with-Lucas-Lasota">SFP#20: Alles over Apparaatneutraliteit met Lucas Lasota</h3> 
 <p>
 Hoewel we omgeven zijn door digitale apparaten, groeit het aantal 
 apparaten dat geen Vrije Software kunnen draaien. Smarphones, pc's en 
 routers zijn in het bijzonder problematisch. In deze aflevering gaan 
 Lucas Lasota en Bonnie Mehring in discussie over Apparaatneutraliteit en 
 Routervrijheid. Lucas legt uit hoe softwarevrijheid, de afwezigheid van 
 vergrendeling door de verkoper en controle van de eindgebruiker over 
 data cruciaal zijn bij het breken van monopolies in digitale markten, 
 het promoten van een open internet en het verzekeren van de toegang van 
 Vrije Software tot apparaten.

 id="Two-reading-proposals-REUSE-specs-for-the-scientific-community-and-Free-Software-to-control-technology">Voostellen voor twee lezingen: REUSE-specificaties voor de wetenschappelijke gemeenschap &amp; Vrije Software om technologie te controleren</h3> 
 <p>
 Vorig jaar stelde de FSFE op de Weizenbaum-conferentie 2022 
 "Soevereiniteit in de praktijk: interventies voor open digitale 
 toekomst" het REUSE-initiatief voor. De presentatie resulteerde in een <a href="https://www.weizenbaum-institut.de/media/Publikationen/Weizenbaum_Proceedings/Proceedings_Weizenbaum_Conference_2022.pdf">
 academisch artikel</a> (Engels, pagina 66-71) waarin wordt uitgelegd hoe 
 REUSE-specificaties het beheersbeleid voor de digitale 
 gemeenschappelijkheden vergemakkelijken en verbeteren door de 
 communicatie van data en metadata voor individuen, gemeenschappen, 
 overheden en bedrijven te verbeteren.
