Nederlandse digitale overheidsdiensten zijn steeds meer afhankelijk van monopolistische
|
||||
bedrijven; het Nederlandse FSFE-team eist actief digitale rechten op. In
|
||||
juni lanceerden we REUSE Booster om juridisch advies over autonomie te delen met Vrije
|
||||
Software projecten. We interviewden Torsten Grote, een
|
||||
lid van de FSFE, die de noodzaak om onze Androids in een vroeg stadium vrij te maken
|
||||
benadrukte.
|

<h2 id="dutch-digital-autonomy-is-undermined-demands-for-free-software-are-rising">Nederlandse Digitale Autonomie ondermijnd; toenemende eisen voor Vrije Software</h2>
|
||||
|

Nederland wordt afhankelijk van een digitale
|
||||
infrastructuur die wordt gedomineerd door een klein aantal monopolistische
|
||||
bedrijven. Hoewel de Nederlandse Cyber Security Raad de
|
||||
risico's onderkent, vergeet hun rapport zich te richten op Open Standaarden
|
||||
en Vrije Software, de bewezen beste praktijken om dit probleem aan te pakken.
|
||||
De FSFE roept de Nederlandse regering op om voet bij stuk te houden en <a
|
||||
href="/news/2021/news-20210521-01.html">greep te krijgen op haar digitale
|
||||
veiligheid en autonomie door zich te houden aan Open Standaarden en Vrije
|
||||
Software</a>, in lijn met hun eerdere toezegging om Vrije
|
||||
Software als standaard te gebruiken.
|
||||

||||

|
||||
Ons team komt met klem op voor digitale rechten in Nederland. In
|
||||
2018 merkte Jos van den Oever dat de 'Debat Direct'-app
|
||||
niet gedownload kon worden op zijn Firefox OS telefoon. Met andere woorden: de
|
||||
officiële applicatie voor parlementaire debatten was niet beschikbaar onder
|
||||
een Vrije Softwarelicentie. Jos' verzoek om de broncode van de app's
|
||||
code te krijgen werd geweigerd en hij bracht de zaak voor de rechter. De Raad van State
|
||||
oordeelde op 31 maart 2021 dat het parlement de broncode niet hoeft te publiceren.
|
||||
Als gevolg daarvan zal de <a
|
||||
href="/news/2021/news-20210611-01.html">participatie-app gesloten blijven</a> voor degenen die alleen Vrije Software-apps willen gebruiken.
|
||||

||||
Jos van den Oever, de persoon achter dit initiatief, is
|
||||
FSFE-vrijwilliger en maakt deel uit van ons landteam Nederland. De
|
||||
leden hielden contact, zelfs tijdens de pandemie, toen ze
|
||||
kramen moesten vervangen voor online vergaderingen. Nico Rikken, één van de twee
|
||||
coördinatoren, deelt zijn ervaringen over deze overgang in een
|
||||
blogpost en <a
|
||||
href="https://blogs.fsfe.org/nico.rikken/2021/06/23/how-the-netherlands-group-grew-in-covid-times/">roept iedereen
|
||||
in Nederland die geïnteresseerd is om zich aan te sluiten bij de FSFE-gemeenschap.</a>.

<h2 id="reuse-booster-supports-free-software-projects-with-licensing">REUSE Booster steunt Vrije Softwareprojecten met licenties</h2>

REUSE heeft de licentiëring van Vrije Softwareprojecten makkelijker gemaakt.
|
||||
Ontwikkelaars krijgen gestandaardiseerde manieren om alle bestanden in een
|
||||
project te markeren met hun gekozen licentie en auteursrechtmelding. Een
|
||||
handleiding, een reeks Veelgestelde Vragen, een hulpprogramma en een API zijn
|
||||
beschikbaar gesteld om de drempel te verlagen en tijd te besparen.
|
||||

||||
Met REUSE Booster plaatst de FSFE dit initiatief een stap
|
||||
verder. <a href="/news/2021/news-20210609-01.html">Vrije
|
||||
Softwareprojecten kunnen nu steun op maat krijgen</a> met licenties
|
||||
en auteursrecht door juridische experts. Elk project wordt
|
||||
individueel geëvalueerd en de aanbevelingen zullen op de specifieke situatie van toepassing zijn. <a
|
||||
href="https://reuse.software/booster/">Registreer</a> tot 8
|
||||
juli om uw Vrije Softwareproject aan boord te krijgen.

En tenslotte willen we niet de kans missen om hem te vragen welke opties er op dit moment zijn voor het bevrijden van onze telefoons.

softwareontwerp speelt met betrekking tot do milieu-impact

||||
van digitale technologieën. De ronde tafel maakt deel uit
|
||||
van een bredere inspanning van de Groenen/EFA om een
|
||||
digitaal groen manifest op te stellen.

Op 23 juni heeft Lucas Lasota, vice-coördinator Juridisch

van de FSFE en onderzoeksmedewerker aan de Humboldt

Op 23 juni hield Irmhild Rogalla een lezing tijdens de ontmoeting van de FSFE

Vrouwengroep over de toegankelijkheid van video

conferentiegereedschap ter ondersteuning van een conferentieplatform voor

iedereen. De <a href="https://wiki.fsfe.org/Teams/Women">FSFE
|
||||
Vrouwengroep</a> komt maandelijks bijeen, houdt het
|
||||
informeel en biedt een open ruimte voor het bespreken van recente
|
||||
ontwikkelingen op het gebied van Vrije Software. Vaak zijn de bijeenkomsten
|
||||
gericht op één specifiek onderwerp.
