<p newsteaser="yes">In den letzten 12 Monaten haben wir gemeinsam mit unseren Freiwilligen, ihren Spenden und ihrer Arbeit viel erreicht. Dank dieser Unterstützung konnten wir beispielsweise unsere PMPC Kampagne erfolgreich weiterführen, Lizenzierung durch unser Reuse Projekt vereinfachen und uns für die Routerfreiheit in Europa stark machen. Auch im Jahr 2020 sind wir wieder mit vollem Elan dabei und setzen uns für Freie Software ein. Bitte helft uns mit einer Spende, damit wir uns weiter erfolgreich für Freie Software engagieren können.

<h2>Was wir in den letzten 12 Monaten erreicht haben</h2>

<li>Unsere "Public Money? Public Code!"-Kampagne: Wir ermutigen den öffentlichen Sektor kontinuierlich, mehr Freie Software zu verwenden und zu beschaffen. Gemeinsam mit der Verwaltung von Barcelona, des Parlaments von Asturien, über 170 Organisationen und 26.000 Einzelpersonen fordern wir, dass öffentlich finanzierte Software unter freien Lizenzen veröffentlicht wird. Außerdem haben wir eine Expertenbroschüre für Entscheidungsträger veröffentlicht und arbeiten an einer deutschen Übersetzung davon.

<li>Routerfreiheit: Bereits vor einigen Jahren erstritt die FSFE erfolgreich die Routerfreiheit in Deutschland. Nun erreicht diese Debatte die europäische Ebene, denn auch hier wollen Internet-Service-Provider den direkten Zugriff der Kunden auf ihre Modems und Router selbst nach dem Verkauf an Endverbraucher begrenzen. Um die Kontrolle über die Technik in Händen der Nutzenden zu bewahren, hat die FSFE begonnen den Status der Routerfreiheit in mehreren Ländern zu dokumentieren. Zudem haben wir ein Aktionspaket für Personen und Organisationen erstellt, welche sich mit uns für Routerfreiheit einsetzen wollen.

<li>Unsere REUSE-Initiative: Wenn man Benutzern die Freiheit geben will, Software zu verwenden, zu verstehen, zu verbreiten und zu verbessern, muss die Software klar lizensiert sein. Im August haben wir unsere Best Practices aktualisiert sowie weitere ergänzende Materialien und Werkzeuge veröffentlicht. Jetzt kann ein Projekt in nur drei einfachen Schritten REUSE-konform werden.

<li>Die neue Präsidentin der Europäischen Kommission, Ursula von der Leyen, hat vor die europäische digitale Agenda zu konkretisieren. Ebenso erwarten wir eine aktualisierte "Open-Source-Strategie" der Europäischen Kommission. Die FSFE wird diese Vorschläge aufmerksam verfolgen, um eine sichere Umgebung für Freie Software in Europa zu gewährleisten.</li>

<li>Wir werden uns weiterhin für die Routerfreiheit in Europa einsetzen, damit Menschen die Kontrolle über ihre Technik behalten können.

<li>Damit Entscheidungsträger die Auswirkungen Freier Software auf Sicherheit und digitale Nachhaltigkeit besser verstehen können, bereiten wir Analysen zu diesen Themen und deren Zusammenspiel mit Freier Software vor.

<li>Wir haben kürzlich unseren "Software-Freedom-Podcast" gestartet, in dem wir weiterhin einmal im Monat interessante Einblicke in Themen rund um Freie Software geben werden.

<p newsteaser="yes">In the last 12 months, we have achieved a lot with the help of our volunteers, through their donations and hard work. Thanks to their support, we were able to successfully continue our PMPC campaign, simplify licensing practices through our REUSE initiative, and stand up for router freedom in Europe. We will be back in 2020 with even more vigour towards our work. Please help us with a donation so that we can continue our successful commitment to Free Software.</p>

<h2>Some of our achievements in the past 12 months</h2>

<li>Our "Public Money? Public Code!" campaign: We will keep encouraging the public sector to use and procure more Free Software. With a strong alliance of the administration of Barcelona, the Parliament of Asturias, over 170 organisations, and more than 26,000 individuals, we demand that publicly financed software development should be made publicly available under Free Software licenses. We have released an expert brochure for decision makers, and are working on translations.

<li>Router Freedom: Some years ago, the FSFE successfully fought for router freedom in Germany. Now, the same debate reaches the European level, with Internet Service Providers (ISP) wanting to restrict users' direct access to their modems and routers even after selling them to end customers. The FSFE aims to counteract this restriction of freedom and to protect users' control of technology by monitoring the status of router freedom in several member states and spreading an "activity package" for people and organisations willing to advocate for router freedom.

<li>Our REUSE initiative: If you want to grant users the freedom to use, study, share, and improve your software, you need to make sure that your software is properly licensed. In August, we released an updated set of best practices together with more supplementary materials and tools. Now, a project can become REUSE compliant in only three simple steps.
